Tips on Planning a Wedding

When it comes to planning a wedding, it’s an understatement to say there’s a few things to plan. There are so many things that go into a wedding, and it’s understandable why people hire professional wedding coordinators to take care of it for them.

For those on a budget though, hiring a professional isn’t an option. Luckily, there are plenty of resources out there to help you through it – and hopefully you have plenty of friends and family, as well as a helpful fiance – who are ready to help out!

As there are so many things involved in planning a wedding, we really can’t cover them all – so below we discuss a few of the more important aspects of planning a wedding.

Planning a Wedding

Important parts of planning a wedding

The Venue

You know what they always say – it’s all about location, location, location. It’s crucial that you find a venue that suitsĀ everyone involved – the couple, your guests, the caterer, the entertainment. You don’t want people declining your wedding invitation because the venue is out in the middle of nowhere with no easy transportation. Find a wedding venue in Melbourne that is easy to access and has plenty of public transport options available.

The Food & Beverages

It’s important to not only have great tasting food and beverages, but also the right quantity of it too. No bride or groom wants to deal with running out of food or wine at their own wedding! Hiring the right catering company will ensure everything is taken care of. If they provide waitstaff, this is a great help and will take a lot of the stress away from you.

The Music

Walking down the aisle, as you say “I Do’, as you have your first dance… there are so many moments of your wedding that need the perfect music to be playing. To ensure the music is played at all the right moments, you’ll need to have either a dedicated sound person or a DJ of some sort. Be sure to write down all your favourite wedding music and make sure your designated sound person can play them before you hire them!
